Recientemente se ha difundido en los medios de comunicación
el riesgo de una pandemia de influenza
cuyos efectos en la población podrían ser desastrosos,
y ante ello diversos gobiernos han aportado recursos económicos
para fortalecer la vigilancia epidemiológica y la
producción de vacunas y medicamentos antivirales.
