FRAGMENTO

Durante la presidencia del Dr. Alfredo Covarrubias-Gómez en la Asociación Mexicana para el Estudio y Tratamiento del Dolor (AMETD) (2012 a 2014) se conformó el Capítulo de Especialización en Dolor Agudo con un grupo de médicos heterogéneo de todo el país.
Este grupo y sus integrantes continuaron trabajando en forma organizada durante la presidencia del Dr. Eduardo Nuche-Cabrera (2014 a 2016). En el 2015, se conforma el Centro Nacional para la Educación en Dolor (CNED); el cual es una organización con fines enteramente educativos y desarrolló un modelo de capacitación denominado «Algia^®» (Cursos de Apoyo Avanzado en Dolor).
