Feocromocitoma y neurofibromatosis: una rara asociación. Revisión del tema a propósito de un caso

RESUMEN

En el Servicio de Cirugía General del Hospital General Docente “Dr. Agostinho Neto”, se realizó la revisión de la rara asociación de un feocromocitoma y una neurofibromatosis tipo 1, a propósito de un paciente operado en el año 2014, al cual se le realizó adrenalectomía izquierda y su evolución es satisfactoria. En la revisión se trató la historia de esta asociación, los conceptos de feocromocitoma y neurofibromatosis, epidemiologia, etiopatogenia, una amplia exposición genética de ambas entidades y su relación, la anatomía patológica, cuadro clínico, diagnóstico, y el tratamiento médico quirúrgico actualizado.
