RESUMEN

Objetivo: Describir nuestra experiencia en casos de sarcoma embrionario indiferenciado hepático.
Material y métodos: Estudio retrospectivo de pacientes con Sarcoma embrionario indiferenciado hepático atendidos durante 31 años. Se analizó: edad, sexo, datos clínicos; hemoglobina y alfa-fetoproteína; imagenología, estadio de acuerdo IRS, cirugía, complicaciones, quimioterapia y sobrevida libre de enfermedad.
Resultados: Hubo 12 pacientes, con edad promedio de ocho años, con afección del lóbulo derecho en siete casos. Cuadro clínico: masa abdominal, dolor abdominal y con alfa-fetoproteína normal. Procedimiento quirúrgico: biopsia incisional en siete pacientes. Hemihepatectomía derecha en tres y segmentectomía en dos, con resección completa en cuatro y uno con bordes quirúrgicos positivos. La quimioterapia adyuvante fue útil en cuatro pacientes. La sobrevida libre de enfermedad fue del 100% en todos los que recibieron terapia multimodal y fue nula en los restantes.
Conclusiones: La terapia multimodal a incrementado la sobrevida de manera significativa, convirtiendo a este tumor en curable.
