Autotrasplante de un canino mandibular permanente retenido

RESUMEN

El autotrasplante dentario es el procedimiento quirúrgico en el cual se realiza el movimiento de un diente de una posición a otra en la misma persona. Este procedimiento, reporta un porcentaje de éxito mayor al 90 % en la literatura odontológica. El propósito del presente reporte de caso clínico fue describir el autotrasplante de un canino mandibular retenido ectópicamente en su sitio correspondiente, así como la posterior movilización ortodóncica para alinearlo correctamente en el arco dentario en un niño de 13 años de edad.
