Malformación arteriovenosa en un neonato. Reporte de un caso

RESUMEN

Se informa de una niña recién nacida que presenta fiebre a las dos horas de nacida y crisis convulsivas seis horas después, en la que se hace el diagnóstico de hemorragia intracraneal. Es intervenida quirúrgicamente encontrándose una malformación arteriosa situada en la región temporal, que fue resecada cuando la niña tenía dos días de nacida. Su evolución posquirúrgica fue bastante satisfactoria y a los dos años su crecimiento y desarrollo es normal, sin secuelas neurológicas.
