Schwanoma en carrillo derecho. Reporte de un caso y revisión de literatura

RESUMEN

Los schwanomas, también conocidos como neurilemomas, son tumores raros, benignos, de crecimiento lento, procedentes de las células de Schwann de nervios periféricos, craneales, o nervios autónomos. Sin embargo, los schwanomas intraorales son raros y representan sólo 20% de los schwanomas de cabeza y cuello. La lengua es la zona más comúnmente afectada. Se describe un caso de schwanoma en mejilla derecha, así como los medios diagnósticos y la técnica quirúrgica empleada.
