Complicaciones en la artroplastia total de rodilla

FRAGMENTO

RESUMEN CLÍNICO

Se trató de un paciente masculino de 80 años de edad con antecedentes de artroplastia total de rodilla (ATR) derecha en marzo de 2010, con buena evolución, y ATR izquierda en mayo de 2012 (Figura 1), con evolución tórpida con dolor, aumento de volumen y derrame articular que cedió al tratamiento médico. Su diagnóstico inicial fue trombosis venosa profunda y se le realizó trombectomía venosa del miembro pélvico izquierdo, sin mejoría. Su diagnóstico posterior fue sinovitis de la rodilla izquierda.
Acudió a una valoración a mi consulta privada en marzo de 2013; presentaba dolor, aumento de volumen, tumefacción y limitación funcional de la rodilla izquierda. Velocidad de sedimentación globular (VSG): 47 mm/h y proteína C reactiva (PCR) positiva (+).
