RESUMEN

El diagnóstico genético preimplantacional (DGP) es un conjunto de acciones y procedimientos diagnósticos que permite conocer en un embrión la presencia o no de una determinada anomalía genética asociada con una enfermedad antes de su posible transferencia uterina. Esta evaluación tiene varias formas, como el tamizaje genético previo a la implantación (PGS), ahora denominado análisis genético preimplantacional para aneuploidías (PGT-A). El proceso involucra la derivación y el asesoramiento de las parejas, el tratamiento estándar de FIV, la obtención de ovocitos, cultivo de embriones, biopsia, diagnóstico genético y finalmente, la transferencia selectiva de embriones.
