RESUMEN

El absceso epidural es una rara, pero devastadora patología; cuando es diagnosticada y tratada tempranamente, el pronóstico es favorable. La revisión de los factores de riesgo, patogénesis, manifestaciones clínicas y desenlace de esta patología, es con el fin de seguir recomendaciones y minimizar el riesgo de estas serias complicaciones.
