RESUMEN

El adenoma pleomórfico (AP) es el tumor benigno más prevalente de las glándulas salivales mayores; sin embargo, esta no es su localización anatómica exclusiva. Las células mioepiteliales, tapizan la membrana basal de las porciones terminales de diferentes tejidos glandulares exocrinos incluyendo los salivales, lacrimales, mamarios y sudoríparos; por esta razón, no es insólito que este tumor se origine en tejidos glandulares diferentes a los salivales. El adenoma pleomórfico de la vulva es un hallazgo infrecuente, con pocos casos reportados en la literatura, siendo este caso el primero reportado en Colombia y Latinoamérica.
