Apofisitis de rodilla (Osgood Schlatter y Sinding Larsen Johansson)

FRAGMENTO

Las apofisitis por tracción son lesiones por sobreuso, que aparecen solo en pacientes pediátricos, debido a un microtraumatismo repetido por la tracción de los tendones a la altura de las apófisis, principalmente durante la fase rápida de crecimiento, sobre todo en quienes practican actividades deportivas. Durante este periodo, el crecimiento óseo y muscular no es armónico, los tendones relativamente cortos generan mayor fuerza de tracción en las apófisis, creando cargas submáximas de tracción repetida, lo que genera inflamación y lesión de las apófisis. Las apofisitis por tracción en la rodilla son: Osgood Schlatter y Sinding Larsen Johansson.
