ABSTRACT

The simultaneous association of Le Fort I, II and III fractures is a complex lesion with very few reports in the world literature. The experience in handling these cases is also very low. We present the case of a 35-year-old male patient, who, after a motor vehicle crash, presents multiple and severe injuries, which is why he is taken to the emergency of our hospital where he was admitted as a polytrauma patient. The physical examination shows multiple dermabrasions and facial wounds. The imaging studies demonstrated the simultaneous association of fractures of the I, II and III type Le Fort fracture. Three-dimensional reconstruction of the facial middle third was performed restoring its anatomy satisfactorily. Adequate treatment of this type of fracture, as well as the associated lesions, are determinant to ensure the complete rehabilitation of patients preserving all the functions and integrity of the vital organs of the middle third of the face.
