ABSTRACT

The case of a newborn is presented, who developed a picture of septicemia, accompanied by edema, the histopathological diagnosis of congenital nephrotic syndrome is made. This syndrome is rare, however it must be taken into account when presenting suggestive clinical data in the neonatal period.
