ABSTRACT

Family life is the earliest influence in the process of socialization of children, it determines the behavioral responses amongst them and society as well, organizing their relationship forms, reciprocal, repetitive and dynamic which are the most important interactions in family. We want to point out that the mental health of adolescence is closely related to the families. The family is perceived to be a positive entity and benefits its members, otherwise it’s negative and exists less control with themselves. The adolescent is very sensitive to his environmental culture. If development is abnormal then they will show difficulties in their environment (family, school and society). The normal trends of the adolescents life includes: absence of serious psychopathology, control of previous tasks of development, flexibility in expressing different kinds of love and the control of inevitable conflicts, good interpersonal relationships accepting the values and norms of society. Difficulties between parents-adolescents usually occurs around authority, sexuality and values. The misunderstanding that parents have in this age of development of their children is demonstrated through indifferences and hostilities of the adolescent; the major result can be scape, aggressive behavior and rejection of parent’s values such as poor scholastic achievement and careless of personal hygiene. The adolescents use a covert and ouvert rebellion to therapeutic approach which should be done by a child or adolescent psychiatrist because general physicians do not have the required skills and specialist qualifications to treat this kind of problems.
