Sarcoidosis: Apropos of two Cases

ABSTRACT

Introduction: Sarcoidosis is a granulomatous disease with variable clinical spectrum.
Objective: To present two cases of sarcoidosis diagnosis with different forms of presentation in patients and with similar clinical links.
Case presentation: Both patients were male, at their fifth decade of life, of black skin color, polysymptomatic with bilateral hilar adenopathies and common extrapulmonary damage: ocular involvement and leukopenia. The clinical differences are due to systemic lymph node taking, in one case; while, in the other, it is mediastinal, as well as kidney damage and the fact that one of them presented manifestations reminiscent of Löfgren's syndrome.
Conclusions: Histological tests confirm noncaseating granulomatous lesions. In sarcoidosis, there is a high degree of diagnostic complexity, due to the existence of extrapulmonary sarcoidosis and the need to rule out other diseases.
