Educational attention for constructive apraxia in children with neurological sequels

ABSTRACT

Introduction. Injury to nervous system can bring changes in the physical, psychological and motor abilities of the human body preventing the execution of functional activities and within the constructive apraxia, affecting therefore performing different school and social activities. Methods. The stage of spatial orientation was applied to a group of 10 children with constructive apraxia two months of treatment at our center where activities aimed compensate for this cognitive dysfunction developed. To assess these children were administered the scale apraxia of Defectology Department before and after treatment. Results. Children apráxico component improved, yielding significant results in terms of strokes, deeds, reproduction and socialization models. Conclusions. Spatial orientation stage applied positively influenced the ccompensación of constructive apraxia.
