ABSTRACT

Introduction. According to the experience of the authors, nursing care plays a fundamental role in the safety of people who require the pre-surgical neurographic navigation procedure with ultrasound support. A descriptive study was carried out, by searching bibliographic information on the subject, in The databases available in Infomed, were carried out in the second quarter of the year 2019.The culture in patient safety in the neuronavigation procedure by images, guarantees safe nursing interventions that are derived, towards the ability to produce a positive impact on the mortality, morbidity, disability and complications in the users, as well as determining the guarantee of the quality of care. Conclusions. The culture of patient safety is within the quality guarantee programs and is an implicit nursing professional responsibility in the act of care.
