ABSTRACT

Amblyopia is a condition that consist basically in diminution of visual acuity without demonstrable organic cause, it can be unior bilateral and severity is variable. There are 6 known causes of ambyoplia; the most common are the strabismic amblyopia and the anisometropic amblyopia. In Mexico, the incidence is about 2% to 5% of general population, so there are 3 to 4 million of amblyopic patients who have incapacity for develop binocular vision resulting in both social and laboral areas. The early detection and prevention are the best way for avoids it.
