ABSTRACT

Introduction: Dr. Arturo Escamilla Bringas is a symbol in Anesthesiology in Villa Clara, his work and teaching career are an example of dedication and discipline.
Objective: honor the memory of Dr. Escamilla.
Method: a documentary investigation was carried out and the work file, the curriculum vitae and the teacher's autobiography were consulted.
Development: a review of the main events of his career, of his positions and responsibilities and of the role played in medical assistance and teaching in the Specialty of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation in Villa Clara.
Conclusions: Dr. Escamilla Bringas was an extraordinary example of dedication, discipline, humility, simplicity and modesty and constitutes a glory of anesthesia in the province.
