ABSTRACT

Evaluation provides the necessary tools to improve the development of the teaching-learning process with didactic strategies and methodologies.The objective of this review is to analyze aspects related to evaluation in the Medical Sciences, specifically in the postgraduate level. A review was carried out in which 20 articles related to evaluation in the Medical Sciences were consulted, 5 of which were used as bibliographical references. In the exercise of evaluation in Medical Education, the aspects related to the evaluation of learning and the evaluation of the training process from the processes of quality are highlighted, addressing the aspects of Educational Evaluation. Definition, the fields of Educational Evaluation, Learning Evaluation and Evaluation of the training processes.Among the advantages of assessment, power and objectivity are to be found in any assessment process, but it is essential to approach them with a critical attitude in our daily work. There is no doubt that evaluation guarantees the improvement of the educational process.
