ABSTRACT

The present review is aimed at emphasizing the relevance of promoting health and of fostering selfcar of the cardiovascular patient, considering them as the path to be followed by any person, family, social group, and working centers to preserve, maintain, and recover health at an integrated level. These actions are directed towards achieving independent individuals, responsible of their own health but above all with a good quality of life, based on the General Health Law and following a teaching methodology for the patient and the family on the different aspects of the patient’s pathology and of general health.
