ABSTRACT

A review of the main achievements of the Boards of Directors corresponding to the 1999-2001; 2001- 2003; 2003-2005 and 2005-2007 terms. One of the most significant facts is that the Mexican Council for Certification in Family Medicine has positioned itself as a leading institution in assessment processes in Ibero-America. The first international certification was carried out in the city of Maracaibo, Venezuela and later in 2005 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
