ABSTRACT

The management of the periods: 2009-2011 and 2015- 2018 of the various Boards of Directors of the Mexican Board in Family Medicine is reviewed. In these two periods, decisive steps were taken to start and sign agreements with the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) with the purpose of recognizing the scores of the courses for family doctors. The inclusion of the Council’s “logo” in the diplomas issued by the IMSS was also achieved. Certification exams were applied to family doctors of the Republic of Cuba and also to the doctors of “Integrated Medicine”, as well as to the doctors of the National Polytechnic Institute for “Child and Adult Medicine for rural services.”.
