Work of optometry and optics technologist in times of covid-19

ABSTRACT

Introduction: the history of modern man and pandemics have marked a before and after in medicine. The last one registered worldwide is currently in charge of the coronavirus. The Optometry and Optics technologist, whose work is close to patients, is at risk of getting and spreading COVID-19, by not using eye protection or by manipulating the eyes. Objective: to identify the work of the technologist in Optometry and Optics in times of COVID-19. Development: the work of the technologist in Optometry and Optics in times of COVID-19 pandemic; as a special situation, it is to put into practice the knowledge acquired for disease prevention and health promotion. In addition to promoting changes in the mode of action, in lifestyles from active research. Taking the temperature, the application of the chlorinated solution in the workplace, consultations, or support the red zone. Conclusions: the work performed by the technologist in Optometry and Optics in times of COVID-19 was identified, in order to contribute to the good of the patient, the family, the community and society.
