ABSTRACT
The nursing subbureau of the National Institute of Cardiology “Ignacio Chavez”, is characterized by maintaining always to the forefront to the professional group of nursing a that works in the sample of this is the Program of quality of the Nurse Care, in which the indicator of the process of secretions aspiration tracheal bronchial with closed system permits monitor the quality with which is provided the investigation has as objective: to determine the efficiency index of the process of secretions aspiration tracheal bronchial with closed system in the national Institute of Cardiology “Ignacio Chavez”, to establish an action guide for the nurses upon accomplishing this procedure and to establish the standard that permit to have a point of reference in the evaluation of the nurse care. Methodology is carried end an investigation descriptive, observational and longitudinal that has as universe the aspiration procedures of secretions bronchial with closed system, accomplished in the intense therapy services after surgical, intermediate therapy, cardiopulmonary and coronary unit of Institute, the sample was random of 100 observations of the process in the involved services, were included processes accomplished to 18-year-old greater patients, of both sexes and with installation tracheal tube; it is exclusion processes accomplished in patients hospitalized 18-year-old minors outside of the included services and those that in the moment of the observation were discontinued by complications related to the patient. The investigation understands two phases; of November of the 2000 to June of the 2001 and of July of the 2001 to June of the 2002. Procedure: it is incorporation a review bibliographical of the process, elaboration of a measurement instrument the one which is applied to across of direct observation, not participate. It is determined the global efficiency index of the process and is carried out an intervention phase whose impact was evaluated. Resulted the global efficiency index of the process of secretions spiration tracheal bronchial with system closed in the first phase was of 60.8% considered in the level of not fulfillment, in the second phase is increase to the 74.4% located in the level minimum of fulfillment. Discussion and conclusions was obtained an improvement of the process of the 13.6%. To improve the results is necessary to increase the knowledge theorics with respect to process and supervision individualized. Define the fulfillment level of the processes carries to establishment improvement strategies and to have a frame of reference during the monitoring.REFERENCES
