ABSTRACT

The Behçet´s disease (BD) is an inflammatory multisystemic vasculitis of unknown etiology and is classified as a rare disease in the USA and European countries. The spectrum of neurologic involvement is wide, however the clinical manifestations and the results of neuroimaging support two major forms of Neuro-Behçet syndrome: parenchymal and non-parenchymal. The BD must be included in the differential diagnosis of inflammatory, vascular and demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system.
