ABSTRACT

Introduction: the new SARS-CoV-2 is identified as the etiological agent of the coronavirus disease 2019. It represents a sanitary and public emergency which have affected from the five continents many countries. There are few reports of this type of research in Cuba, this article pretends to describe the oral manifestations of a patient who has been confirmed with SARS-CoV2 infection.
Patient information: a 20-year-old female patient without personal pathological antecedent was identified with oral lesions compatible with idiopathic aphthous stomatitis, gallbladder lesion and idiopathic glossitis. She was diagnosed with coronavirus at 48 hours after being treated for these injuries.
Conclusions: the SARS-CoV2 infection can be preceded by oral manifestations in multiple clinical presentations, these manifestations can constitute an alarm about the presence of coronavirus and must be taken into account by diagnostic protocols.
