ABSTRACT

This article provides detailed information on the embryology, anatomy, incidence, clinical presentation, biology and natural history of the more frequent breast lesions of childhood and adolescence. It analyzes imaging and fine needle aspiration (FNA) as precise diagnostic methods. It also describes the therapeutic modalities, prognosis and prospects in the management of the child and/or adolescent with mammary gland pathology.
