Laminate Veneers in dentistry. Case presentation and literature review

ABSTRACT

An 18 year old female arrived at the Clinica de Medicina Estomatológica UASLP México. The patient had dental fluorosis and ill fitted porcelain fused to metal crowns in both upper central incisors. There is a marked opacity in the cervical areas and bad adaptation of the crowns. After diagnosis and evaluation according to cosmetic criteria, the ill fitted crowns and periodontal disease were treated. The treatment consisted of an architectural modification of the ginginal area the placement of crowns and laminate veneers.
A literature review is also presented.
