ABSTRACT
Introduction: the COVID-19 pandemic has led the Nutrition career of the Hispano-American University of Costa Rica to perform clinical simulation practices in distance modality. For this reason, the aim of the study was to determine the student's perception regarding clinical simulation in distance modality, where students execute the simulation process through a virtual synchronous platform. Material and methods: in this descriptive and cross-sectional type of study a mixed approach will be used collecting qualitative and quantitative data. 63 students of the Nutrition career participated. A survey was applied in digital format consisting of 17 closed and open questions. Results: 92% of the people were female, 79.4%were single, 82.5% dedicate themselves exclusively to studying. In total, 92% rate the remote simulation modality as excellent and good, indicating that it helps them to consolidate their knowledge and to solve future problems. Conclusion: the clinical simulation in distance modality is perceived by the students of the Nutrition career as an adequate methodology to strengthen their learning and develop their problem-solving skills in the subjects of the clinical nutrition area.REFERENCES
