ABSTRACT

A 32 years-old woman, with eight-years long depression disease, treated with clonazepam, carbamazepine and rebuxetine, referred a skin erosions in the dorsum of her hands and facial hypertrichosis. She also referred an increase in the intensity of her urine coloring. The complementary exam sho-wed very high levels of porphyrines and coproporphyrines in 24-hour urine. When carbamazepine was withdrawn, clinical and metabolic recovery of her porphyria cutanea tarda become in few months. A carbamazepine-induced cutaneous porphyria diagnose was reported.
