ABSTRACT

Introduction: identify the main cause of non-cadaveric donation in the General Hospital of Puebla "Dr. Eduardo Vázquez Navarro" in the period from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019. Material and methods: observational, retrospective, cross-sectional, descriptive study; was held at the General Hospital of Puebla "Dr. Eduardo Vázquez Navarro" with the help of the records of the corresponding deaths from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019. The Tool was used for quality control of the Donation and Transplant processes of the Centro Nacional de Trasplantes and for the in cases of family refusal, the format of the Refusal Sheet of the Institutional Coordination of Donation and Procurement of Tissue Organs with Transplant Fines of the National Institutes and High Specialty Hospitals of the Ministry of Health was used. Results: of the patients with brain death status, 33% became real multiorgan donors. In the case of cardiac arrest, the minimum percentage of donations made was 1%, however the main cause of not being real donors is medical contraindication. Conclusion: the data obtained compared with the current literature mention a concordance for the main causes of non-donation of the cadaver.
