ABSTRACT

The development of investigative competences in the medical professional is an unquestionable need. In this sense, residency, as a form of postgraduate education, must have a relevant function. This article analyzes specificities related to the evaluation of the component "work of completion of the specialty", corresponding to the graduation evaluation or state final exam. The actions and modifications that are proposed pursue the purpose that the presentation and defense of their thesis work constitute a true exponent of scientific activity, for which a training process is required that values them, and in which tutors and residents are responsibly involved.
