ABSTRACT

Introduction: the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has directly impacted the higher education system, especially in the development of teaching-learning strategies used for the clinical training of university students, this has forced higher education institutions to make new and rapid adjustments, which is why telesimulation has become an effective strategy to provide successful educational experiences, in an interactive and meaningful environment, even with limited physical resources. Objective: to describe the experience and level of satisfaction in the training of students of the Obstetrics and Childcare career through telesimulation in times of COVID-19 pandemic. Material and methods: cross-sectional study, the study sample corresponded to 109 students, for data collection a validated survey was used, self-applied, through Microsoft Forms and the processing and analysis of the results was carried out through the SPSS statistical program. Results: 100% of the respondents had experience with telesimulation, with simulated patient and/or virtual simulator, and most of the participants (79.81%) showed a high level of satisfaction. Conclusions: the experience in telesimulation is perceived positively by students in their teaching and learning process during their university education.
