ABSTRACT

Sepsis and its most severe form, septic shock, are entities that cause high hospital mortality rates. Identification of the etiologic agent and targeted antibiotic therapy improve the patient's prognosis. We present the case of a man with SARS-CoV-2 infection with subsequent sepsis and septic shock secondary to Rhodococcus equi. The patient was satisfactorily treated and discharged.
