ABSTRACT

The porokeratotic adnexal ostial nevus (PAON) is a general term that encompasses porokeratotic eccrine ostial and dermal duct nevus (PEODDN) and he porokeratotic eccrine and hair follicle nevus (PEHFN). It is an extremely rare spectrum of porokeratotic hamartomas with variable degrees of involvement of adnexal structures (eccrine acrosyringia or hair follicle ostia) that can develop either at birth or over the years. It is a hamartoma of the sweat duct characterized by benign and asymptomatic neoformation.
We present a case of an adult male patient with erythematous and hyperpigmented linear plaque lesions distributed along the lines of Blaschko on the lateral surface of the right upper and lower limbs and on the right lateral trunk. The skin biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of porokeratotic adnexal ostial nevus. Given the low frequency of this condition, the objective of this report was to identify the most relevant aspects of this condition.
