ABSTRACT

The case of a 52-year-old patient with rheumatoid arthritis treated with methotrexate and prednisone is described. She presents consumptive and respiratory symptoms, identifying a pneumonic process. Coronavirus 22E9 was subsequently detected. A review of respiratory infection by this agent concerning patients in treatment with methotrexate and prednisone is performed.
