Key words:

COVID-19, posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, burnout.

At the end of 2019, an outbreak of severe pneumonia caused by SARS-CoV-2 was confirmed. This emergency showed that the institutions did not have sufficient resources, forcing the closure of essential services to focus on the care of patients with respiratory symptoms, generating exhaustion and post-traumatic stress disorder in healthcare personnel. However, health personnel and patients, family members, caregivers, and individuals outside the health sector were affected. However, how much do we know about how people outside the hospitals experienced it? We present three anonymous testimonies that narrate their experiences during the contingency.
