ABSTRACT

Osteoma cutis is a rare and benign disease characterized by bone tissue formation in the dermis or subcutaneous tissue. It can be primary when it occurs de novo without a pre-existing disease (minority of cases), or secondary, when it develops in association with an underlying condition. We present a primary osteoma cutis in a healthy 75-year-old male patient.
