ABSTRACT

Introduction: embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma is a tumor that can originate from the bladder wall or vagina, mainly in infants and schoolchildren. This type of tumor is usually diagnosed late due to suspicion of other diseases. Case presentation: two-year-old female patient with urinary tract infection and mass protruded trough the urethral meatus. A tumor mass was identified in the abdomen and pelvis by imaging studies. After removal of the tumor, a diagnosis of embryonal botryoid rhabdomyosarcoma was confirmed by histopathological study. Conclusions: bladder botryoid rhabdomyosarcoma is a very rare neoplasm in pediatric patients; This diagnosis should be considered in the presence of recurrent urinary tract infection.
