ABSTRACT
We present herein a case of hybrid coronary revascularization
in a Jehovah's Witness female patient with triple
vessel coronary disease, undergoing myocardial revascularization
without cardiopulmonary bypass to the
anterior descending coronary artery, and percutaneous
coronary intervention to the circumflex coronary artery
on the second postoperative day. She was discharged
from hospital without transfusion of blood components.
Hybrid revascularization reduces the complications associated
with extracorporeal circulation and the need
for transfusion of blood components.
