ABSTRACT

The overall mortality of myocardial infarction was reduced with advances in medical and surgical therapy. However, patients in cardiogenic shock and chronic heart failure continue to have a mortality rate is estimated at 50-60%. Today it is increasingly accessible using ventricular assist devices in patients with refractory cardiogenic shock data to medical management. In developing country is used as an alternative to the lack of access to implantable devices streaming. Then using a temporary circulatory assist device in a patient with terminal heart failure in heart transplant protocol described.
