ABSTRACT

The purpose of this review article is to update the information about dentin hypersensitivity (DH); its etiology, development, symptoms, risk factors, prevention and treatment. In this way, it is intended to provide the clinical professional with the necessary knowledge to act appropriately in the presence of this increasingly frequent situation in the dental office.
