ABSTRACT

In patients with dermatomyositis, it is known that there is a higher risk of association with malignant pathology without knowing a precise cause of this association. They have been described in both solid and hematological tumors. We present the case of a 74-year-old woman diagnosed with dermatomyositis, in whom a paratracheal mass and liver lesions were found, leading to the diagnosis of neuroendocrine carcinoma.
