ABSTRACT

Folliculotropic mycosis fungoides (FMF) is the most common variant of mycosis fungoides (MF), which clinically presents skin lesions that range from lesions that resemble nodular prurigo, keratosis pilaris or acne, as well as indurated and infiltrated erythematous plaques, associated with follicular papules. We present the case of a 52-years-old female patient who came to the clinic due to erythematous and infiltrated lesion in the central facial region, of four years of evolution, asymptomatic. Histopathology revealed a perivascular and perifollicular infiltrate with folliculotropism with the presence of mucin, and immunohistochemistry confirmed the diagnosis of folliculotropic mycosis fungoides. Treatment with phototherapy was performed in combination with low-potency steroids, with no recurrences to date.
