ABSTRACT

What is the hemodynamic behavior of heart disease patients according to their functional class? Material and methods: Heart disease patients were studied by echocardiogram to determine cardiac output (QS) and ejection fraction (FE) and their mean blood pressure was calculated to study total peripheral vascular resistances. Analysis: Proportional descriptive statistics were used χ², ANOVA and t test were used to compare the left atrium by class functional and hemodynamic regimen. Correlation and determination coefficients between QS and FE were determined. Results: Two hundred cases. Class I = 58%, II = 29%, III 9.5%, IV = 3.5%. Regimen: hipokinetic = 36.5%, eukinetic = 51.5%, hyperkinetic = 12%. The left auricle has no difference according to the regimen. There is a slight correlation between QS and FE. Only 3% of ejection fraction determines cardiac output.
