Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is currently the third leading cause of death in the world; if this trend continues, it could become the second leading cause of death in the future. Continuous education of health personnel in our country on this respiratory problem is an obligation of health institutions and medical professional associations. The Sociedad Mexicana de Neumología y Cirugía de Tórax has given, for several years, faceto- face and virtual courses through online seminars during the National COPD Week. Undoubtedly, the publication of GMEPOC 2025 will be a great tool to achieve this goal.
