ABSTRACT

Patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) present high levels of stress, anxiety and alterations in the interaction with mechanical ventilation, due not only to the severity of the disease itself, but also to the different devices to which that are connected or surrounded. Music is considered an alternative non-pharmacological therapy that can reduce the figures in physiological variables, among other effects, removing episodes of anxiety and regulates the circadian cycle, it even helps reduce pain and provides comfort to patients.
