ABSTRACT
Introduction: colon lipomas occupy second place among benign colon tumors, formed by well-differentiated adipose tissue, with a supporting fibrous stroma. Most of these tumors are asymptomatic, although occasionally, they can cause urgent complications. Clinical case: a 38-year-old young man presents with abdominal pain; imaging tests reveal a colonic invagination adjacent to a lipoma, being treated by a right hemicolectomy. Conclusion: this unusual clinical condition is usually asymptomatic and can cause abdominal pain. The treatment is surgical in most cases. Radiological tests play a decisive role in the diagnosis of intussusception, contributing to adequate therapeutic guidance.REFERENCES
